Submariner Dolphins are a naval warfare device that is worn with pride and honor for those who have earn them from their service while stationed on a U.S. submarine. 
These dolphins are significant in many ways and is the culmination of months if not years of pipeline training including some of the most difficult schools in the American Navy.
These Dolphins show that the individuals who have earned them have been tried, tested and passed the requirements & critique of other members of the submarine force and are tough enough to wear them. In the Navy to wear these anywhere on your person or sometimes just hold them make that person open to ridicule and persecution from other Phin brotherhood members for they have not been found worthy. 
A proud, silent and deadly list of heroes have worn these before and one should not diminish these dolphins but wear them with honor and reverence.
